Previewing
Elmony runs your project locally and embeds the live app beside the chat so you can inspect every change as it is built.
Preview toolbar
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
Select component | Select one or more elements in the preview and attach their component and source locations to your next chat message. |
Add screenshot to chat | Capture the current preview and attach it to the chat as visual context for the next request. |
Refresh | Reload the rendered page. Elmony normally refreshes after edits, but this helps when the page is stale. |
Route menu | Open the address bar menu and switch between routes discovered in the app. |
Restart | Restart the project's development server. Use Rebuild from the preview menu when dependencies must be installed again. |
Open in browser | Open the running app URL in your default browser. |
Device mode | Test desktop, tablet, and mobile viewport sizes without leaving the Builder. |
The back and forward buttons follow navigation history inside the embedded preview. For Expo mobile projects, Mobile device mode can also show an Expo device-preview QR code when a device URL is available; scan it or click the URL to copy it.
Builder panels
Use the right-side panel buttons to move between the running app and its supporting tools. Some panels appear only when they apply to the current project type.
Preview
Interact with the running app and send visual context to chat.
Code
Browse the project tree and inspect or edit source files.
Bug Finder
Review detected TypeScript and project problems.
Security
Run and review security checks for the project.
Configure
Connect services and manage project configuration.
Payments
Set up the payment tools available for the current project.
Database
Manage database features for supported web projects.
Firebase
Manage Firebase features for supported mobile projects.
Publish
Open the publishing workflow for the current project type.
Console
The resizable Console sits below the active panel. It shows server output, build progress, warnings, and errors. Collapse it when you need more room; the closed bar still shows the latest message and error count.
Troubleshooting
Why isn’t the preview loading?
Open the Console and read the latest install or server message. A project's first run may need to download dependencies. Try Restart after fixing the reported issue; if installed dependencies are stale or incomplete, choose Rebuild from the preview menu to reinstall them and restart.
