Getting Started

Publishing your app

Elmony Hosting is the built-in path for publishing a website. You can also connect GitHub and Vercel when you want an external deployment workflow. Mobile apps use the Expo/EAS release tools inside Builder instead.

Publish a website with Elmony Hosting

Elmony Hosting supports website projects and website designs exported as static HTML. Availability and the number of hosted sites depend on your current plan; the Publish Settings screen shows your quota before anything is uploaded.

  1. Open the project from the sidebar and choose Publish settings. You can also select another eligible website from the project list while this screen is open.
  2. For a design project, select the design to export. Elmony creates a static HTML bundle from the saved design.
  3. Review the hosted-site quota and choose Publish. Publishing may be queued briefly while a worker is available.
  4. When deployment finishes, open the live URL shown at the top of Publish Settings and check the production site.
Environment values needed by the deployed website must be configured for the production service as well. Never place secret server credentials in browser-visible variables.

Publish updates and restore a deployment

After the first deployment, use Update to publish the latest saved project. Deployment History shows the active deployment and recent restorable backups. Use Restore on a completed backup when you need to make that version live again.

Restoring a hosted deployment does not rewrite the project files on your computer. Use Elmony's version history when you also need to restore local source code.

Connect a custom domain

  1. Publish the website once so it has an active hosted deployment.
  2. Open Custom Domain, enter the hostname, and connect it.
  3. Copy the generated DNS records into your domain provider.
  4. Return to Elmony to check the hostname and SSL status. DNS and certificate activation can take time after the records change.

If you use a www hostname, Publish Settings can also guide you through the optional root-domain redirect. Replacing or disconnecting a domain does not delete the local project.

Delete a hosted website

The Delete hosted website action removes the published site, deployment history, uploaded assets, and custom-domain connection. It does not delete the Elmony project stored on your computer.

Mobile releases

Mobile projects are not published from Publish Settings. Open the project in Builder and use the Publish panel for Expo preview, EAS builds, credentials, store readiness, and App Store or Google Play submission.

Alternative: GitHub and Vercel

You still own the generated source and can deploy it elsewhere. Connect GitHub from the project's Connections area, create or select a repository, and push the project. Then connect Vercel in Elmony or import that repository in Vercel. A GitHub connection is required before using Elmony's Vercel connection.
